The August 7 edition of Sports Illustrated will feature an in-depth tale about President Donald Trump and his relationship with the game of golf, but there’s one brief quote that’s certain to fuel several days of parsing and analysis.

Trump explains to Bedminster members why he spends so much hour at his golf club: “That White House is a real dump.” https :// t.co/ LHe0G 6h70y

Alan Shipnuck reports:
As President, Trump has already built four visits to the club[ Bedminster ]. He has his own cottage adjacent to the pool; it was recently given a procure perimeter by the Secret Service, leading to the inevitable joke that it’s the only wall Trump has successfully constructed. Chatting with some members before a recent round of golf, he explained his frequent appearances:” That White House is a real dump .”
Was he joking around, or being serious? It’s awfully difficult to tell from the transcript alone, but most people seem to be taking him at his word.
Imagine for a single second if Obama had called the White House a “real dump.” https :// t.co/ wbMh1 4Fbk1

“The White House is a dump” would’ve been a week-long scandal/ PR crisis in the Obama admin, crowing out all talk of everything else.

If Obama had called the White House a “dump”-even in jest-white people would be screaming about it until the Sun swallows our solar system https :// t.co/ wNwgZP4nKA

Severely, if Obama called the White House a “real dump” Fox News would have been able to covered it 24/7 for at the least a year.

Eight years, Ben. Eight years.

A year ??? Please. Pretty sure we heard about his khaki suit up until the working day he left office.

Sean Hannity would literally be talking about it tonight.
